Lensbaby fisheye. Straight from camera.
The dandelion was right up against the lens when I blew it.
After doing this for about 10mins I got a good shot, and realised I’ve blown about 20 dandelions out my garden. Its gonna be even more full of weeds soon :S

This is a shot from a few weeks ago when I was borrowing the Canon 8-15mm fisheye, shot at 14mm. I am always admiring those shots from guys like Seth Oliver of reflections off of park benches and other objects around the city. When I saw this puddle in Crown Fountain, I wanted to try the same type of thing.
Earth Hour
Earth Hour is tomorrow night. Many of the city’s buildings, including most of the skyline, will be turning off their lights from 8:30 to 9:30 tomorrow night. Any good ideas for where to go to shoot this? I imagine there will be a lot of you down at Adler planetarium. I think it’s the lights that make the skyline look as good as it does, but this is an opportunity that only comes around once a year. Maybe this is a good time to shoot from the Hancock? What do you guys think?

sooc.
The Lensbaby fisheye is awesome for macro. It was focussed so closely my eyelashes were touching the lens :P
I’ve uploaded the rest of this set onto facebook.

day 161 - new toys by AlexTurton on Flickr.
A través de Flickr:
went to “focus on imaging” today. Managed to buy myself some new stuff. I love stuff.
I went with a list as long as my arm, but only ended up buying a few bits and bobs. Amongst what I bought were a “rayflash” ring flash adapter for my 580 ex II and a fisheye optic for lensbaby.
This shot was using both the fisheye and the rayflash, shot straight into a mirror. I thought it was interesting as with the large view of the fisheye (c160 degrees I think) you can see the back of the rayflash (which is the outer circle).
Had a great day. Can’t wait to get shooting properly with both.
