Black Bears usually do not leave claw prints, but this was very soft mud on a riverbank, so I suspect black, not grizzly. Other factors include size of track and location - down low in a heavily forested river valley. Grizzlies would be higher up the mountains in September. Stein Valley, British Columbia.
